Non-Sequitur's

Photography is one of the few professions where, for its practitioners, it is not only their vocation but their avocation.* I mean, what do photographers do on a vacation? Create images, of course. We rarely leave home without our cameras, and with our phones we never do.

It becomes a reflex. We’re always looking. It can’t be turned off. We see something that interests us and out comes our camera.

As a result, eventually we find ourselves with a stash of images that may not fit any particular project or theme. Images that may have missed the cut but we love them anyway. Images from grander notions or bigger ideas that don’t quite work and never see the light of day.** Images that should be somewhere but don’t seem to belong anywhere.

This shouldn’t make them misfits.

Just non-sequitur’s.

All images in this portfolio are available for purchase. Please contact us for sizes and pricing.

*Would a surgeon go home and just cut open a neighbor? I would hope not. Not just for fun anyway…

**I reserve the right to revisit any of them someday. Even though unlike a fine wine, images don’t improve on their own, what is life without a little hope…
